I have some very sad news that I'd like you to share with all our classmates.
I have been searching for quite some time for Janey Berg. I finally tracked down her family in Florida just minutes ago and discovered that she passed away on July 29, 2005, at the age of 42. She'd battled cancer since the age of 35.
Her mom said she'd lived a wonderful life, marrying Jeff Hurt and becoming an RN....not only is she missed tremendously by her family, but she has been and will always be missed by me; she was one of my closest friends.
I only wished I would have found her years ago. Please post this message for all to hear....Denise Pearson-Lewis

Janey I. Hurt, 42, Sarasota, died July 28, 2005. She was born July 29, 1962, in Grand Forks, N.D., and came to Sarasota 19 years ago from North Dakota. She was a registered nurse at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and a member of the Meadowland First Church of God. Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey; daughters Lacey, Brandy and Erica, all of Sarasota; brothers Steven Berg of Sarasota and Shawn Berg of Fort Lauderdale; sisters Jill Keuchenberg of Fort Lauderdale and Judy Hansen of Willow Grove, Pa.; and parents Warren and Betty Berg of Sarasota. Celebration of life services will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 7 at Meadowland Worship Center. Jennings Funeral Home is in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meadowland Worship Center, First Church of God, 8893 Fruitville Road, Sarasota, FL 34240.
